The Initiative for Black-Owned Small Businesses (IfBOSB) provides $3,000 grants to black-owned small businesses. Our mission is to help support black owners of small businesses by providing them with cash injections that they can use for capital expenses or operating expenses. We believe that investing in black-owned small businesses is not only a good thing to do to promote equity, but is also a smart investment in our economy and democracy.
As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our donors to make our mission possible.

Small businesses face unique challenges – which are particularly compounded when combined with the unique challenges faced by Black Americans who statistically currently have (and historically have had) materially less access to the capital, networks, and support systems necessary to start and grow their businesses.
Small businesses are essential to the overall economy and are responsible for creating the majority of new jobs in our country. By supporting Black-owned small businesses, we can help create a more diverse and resilient economy.
